AI tools marketplaces in Australia, compared

When you ask for an AI tools marketplace in Australia you get very different things: government lists of companies, cloud catalogues, review sites and comparison sites. Here is what each one is, how it checks listings, and when it is the better fit. We run Find AI Now, so we have said plainly where another option suits you better.

Before you choose

What to check in any AI tools marketplace

  • What it lists

Products, companies, or both. A list of organisations will not tell you which tool fits a task, and a list of tools will not find you someone to set it up.

  • Who checks listings, and how

A person's review, an ABN lookup, a curation process and user reviews are different things. Read the site's own description of what a check covers.

  • Whether money changes the order

Look for the site's disclosure. Some sell placement or sort by vendor bids; others say placement is never sold.

  • Price currency and GST

Many AI tools price in US dollars. Check whether a price is in Australian dollars and whether GST is included before you compare.

  • Where your data is stored

Few lists record this. Ask the vendor in writing, or use a list that records a stated hosting region, and read the vendor's data terms.

  • How current it is

AI tools change pricing and features often. Look for a review or checked date on each listing.

  • Your own privacy obligations

If your business is covered by the Privacy Act, its rules apply to personal information you put into an AI tool and to output that contains it. The OAIC's guidance asks you to check the tool suits your use, who can see the information, and the privacy and security risks. The National AI Centre's essential AI practices are the government's guidance for using AI responsibly.

Side by side

The options, compared

Each of these is a different kind of service, so read the first line of each before comparing the rest.

Find AI Now

AI tools and AI agencies, compared side by side

What it lists
AI tools from anywhere in the world, and AI agencies that build and run AI for businesses. Each tool page states what it does, who it suits, its price range and our own take on its limits.
How listings are checked
A person at Find AI Now checks every tool and agency before it is listed. Agencies need at least 12 months delivering this work and two real client outcomes.
Money, prices and placement
Free for buyers. Tool makers pay a listing fee in US dollars including GST; agencies list free and pay a 10% commission on clients we introduce. Paying does not change where a listing appears.
A good fit when
You want to compare tools for a job, see what each costs and who it suits, or find an agency to set one up.

NAIC AI Directory

Australian Government directory of organisations

What it lists
Australian businesses with AI capabilities, searchable by location, industry, business area and AI technology. It lists organisations, not individual products.
How listings are checked
Organisations nominate themselves. They need an ABN, a name matching that ABN and a confirmed presence in Australia, and the department evaluates each nomination against its criteria. Its terms say inclusion is not an endorsement.
Money, prices and placement
Profiles do not show prices. Whether listing costs anything is not stated.
A good fit when
You want an Australian AI provider and value a government-run list with ABN checks.

AI Registry

Independent directory of Australian AI companies

What it lists
A curated, deliberately not exhaustive list of Australian AI companies, focused on verified local presence and data sovereignty.
How listings are checked
A Verified badge means a desk check of public records: an active ABN looked up on the Australian Business Register, an address, at least one founder or director living in Australia, and a public website with Australian contact details. It says it does not audit finances or product claims.
Money, prices and placement
Free to list at launch; it says some listings may later be marked Featured for a fee. A separate Data Sovereign badge records the vendor's written statement of where data is hosted.
A good fit when
You need an Australian company and want to see a stated hosting region before you shortlist.

The AI Directory Australia

Independent review site for AI tools

What it lists
AI tools reviewed for Australian small businesses and professionals, with category winners.
How listings are checked
Tools are scored on five criteria, including Australian Fit, for a total out of 25. It says most reviews are desk research unless a review describes hands-on use.
Money, prices and placement
It says you cannot buy placement or a score, and sponsored pieces are labelled.
A good fit when
You want a scored opinion of a tool from an Australian point of view.

AWS Marketplace, Microsoft Marketplace and Google Cloud Marketplace

Cloud providers' software catalogues

What it lists
Third-party software, data and services that run on or connect to that cloud, including categories for AI agents.
How listings are checked
Each provider sets its own rules for sellers; AWS says every software product goes through a curation process.
Money, prices and placement
Purchases are billed through your cloud account. Microsoft lists AUD as the currency for Australia. AWS says most purchases are priced in USD, with conversion and some private offers in AUD. Google bills each billing account in one currency.
A good fit when
Your organisation already pays that cloud provider and wants software on the same bill and contract.

Capterra and GetApp (Australian sites)

Software review and comparison sites, all categories

What it lists
Software of every kind with user reviews, including AI categories. Both are now part of G2.
How listings are checked
Listings come with user reviews. Their own pages say vendors pay when they receive web traffic and sales opportunities, and vendors can bid for placement, with a Sponsored sort option.
Money, prices and placement
Free for buyers. Prices shown are whatever the vendor provides.
A good fit when
You want many user reviews across general software, and you are comfortable reading sponsored placement for what it is.

BuyICT

Australian Government procurement platform

What it lists
Digital sellers on government panels, including an Artificial Intelligence Engineering category reported in July 2026.
How listings are checked
Sellers must be on a panel.
Money, prices and placement
For government buyers only.
A good fit when
You buy for an Australian Government agency.

Being straight

When Find AI Now is not the right fit

If you only want Australian companies, or need a checked ABN on every listing, start with the NAIC AI Directory or AI Registry. Many tools on Find AI Now come from overseas vendors.

If you need data kept in Australia, we do not record where each tool stores data: our tool pages say “Not stated”. AI Registry records a hosting region stated by the vendor. Either way, confirm it with the vendor in writing.

If you want prices in Australian dollars with GST, our tool price ranges come from each vendor's pricing page in that page's currency. A cloud marketplace bill or the vendor's own Australian pricing will be closer.

If you buy for a government agency, use BuyICT. If you want software on an existing cloud bill, use that provider's marketplace.

About Find AI Now

Who we are

Find AI Now is Australian-owned and run by FIND AI NOW PTY LTD (ABN 67 686 241 814), at Ground Floor, 470 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne VIC 3004. Nathan Vegh founded it in April 2025 and runs it. A person checks every tool and agency before it is listed, and paying does not change where a listing appears.

Answers on prices, GST, data and how we review are on the marketplace page. To compare tools now, go to the AI marketplace or AI agencies.
