About Fathom
Fathom is an AI notetaker for video meetings. It records and transcribes calls on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, then writes a summary and a list of action items that you can search later. A bot-free recording option is available for people who prefer not to have a recorder join the call.
The free plan includes unlimited recordings and transcripts with basic summaries. Paid individual and team plans add advanced summaries, action items, team search and collaboration tools, and the Business plan adds CRM sync with Salesforce and HubSpot, deal views and coaching metrics. Fathom also connects to Slack, Asana, ChatGPT and Claude.
Fathom is now part of Superhuman, which announced the acquisition on 14 September 2026. Superhuman has said it will build Fathom's notetaking into its email, calendar and document apps.
Our take
- Good for
- individuals and small teams who want recorded, transcribed and summarised calls without paying to start.
- Skip it if
- you need action items, summary templates or CRM sync without paying for a plan.
- The catch
- the free plan gives a standard summary only; action items, summary templates and custom summaries sit on paid plans.
