About Granola
Granola is a notepad for people who spend the day in meetings. It listens to your computer audio and transcribes in the background, so no bot joins the call and nobody else in the meeting has to do anything. You type your own rough notes, and Granola uses the transcript to fill them out into clear notes with decisions and action items.
You can chat with a meeting or across several meetings to find what was said, prepare for the next call with a brief based on your calendar, and generate follow-ups. Shared folders and templates keep notes consistent across a team.
It runs on Mac and Windows, on iOS and Android, and on Apple Watch, and works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other meeting apps. The Basic plan is free with a limited meeting history. Business adds unlimited notes, integrations, an MCP connection and API access, and Enterprise adds security controls, single sign-on and HIPAA compliance.
Our take
- Good for
- taking your own notes in a call and having them filled out, with no bot joining the meeting.
- Skip it if
- you need notes from meetings you cannot attend yourself.
- The catch
- the free plan only opens recent notes, so older ones stay locked until you upgrade, and capture uses your own device's audio, which can miss the other side of some calls.
