About Hugging Face

Hugging Face is the central place many people use to find, share and run machine learning models. The Hub hosts public and private models and datasets with Git based version control, a dataset viewer and model evaluation features. Spaces lets people run and share apps and demos, with free basic hardware and on-demand GPUs priced by the hour.

For running models, Inference Providers gives access to models through a single interface, and Inference Endpoints runs dedicated deployments. Storage is priced per terabyte with transfer included, and a daily papers feed, a community forum and HuggingChat round out the site.

The Hub is free to use. A PRO account adds more storage, monthly inference credits and a larger share of ZeroGPU, a Team plan adds single sign-on, audit logs, access controls and analytics for organisations, and Enterprise adds provisioning, advanced security and dedicated support. Reports in 2026 said the company was exploring a sale at a valuation of 13 billion dollars or more.

Our take

Good for
finding, sharing and running open machine learning models and demos.
Skip it if
you want a finished business tool, because this platform is built for builders.
The catch
the account is cheap, but running models on paid hardware is billed by the hour while it runs, so an always-on GPU adds up quickly.
