Retell AI is a platform for building AI agents that answer and make phone calls, and chat agents that handle messages. You can start from pre-built agent templates, choose the language model and the voice, connect Twilio or Telnyx or use Retell's telephony, and track results with call analytics and transcripts.
The platform includes simulation testing before agents go live, webhooks and an API, a knowledge base, and add-ons such as advanced denoising, safety guardrails, personal information removal and AI quality assurance. Language models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google and several voice providers can be used, or you can bring a custom model.
Pricing is true pay as you go: voice agents are billed per minute and chat agents per message, with free starting credit and no commitment, and the cost depends on the model, voice and telephony chosen. Enterprise adds custom contract terms, role based access, single sign-on, higher concurrency and round the clock support. Retell is used in healthcare, insurance, financial services, logistics and retail.
