About ThoughtSpot

ThoughtSpot is an analytics platform built around AI agents. Spotter is its AI analyst that answers questions about company data in natural language, and related agents help build data models, create dashboards and visualisations, and write code. A semantic layer gives agents a shared definition of business terms, and MCP connectors bring in wider business context.

The platform adds AI summaries, automated change analysis, KPI monitoring with anomaly detection and alerts, interactive dashboards and drilldowns, with live connections to warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks and Redshift. ThoughtSpot can be used inside Slack, Claude, OpenAI, Google Slides, Salesforce and on mobile, and an embedded version with an API and SDK is sold as an add-on.

There are Essentials, Pro and Enterprise plans, with a free trial. Essentials is for small teams of five to fifty users and covers interactive dashboards and actionable insights. Pro is for growing businesses, with up to a thousand users, Spotter AI agents and a usage based option priced by credits. ThoughtSpot does not meter or charge for the language model tokens it uses, though a customer's own model provider may charge. Enterprise adds unlimited users and data, advanced encryption and private network options.

Our take

Good for
teams that want to ask business questions of their data in plain language.
Skip it if
you do not already keep your data in a cloud data warehouse.
The catch
it needs a supported cloud data warehouse for your own data, the top plans are quote-only, and buyers report real costs well above the entry price.

Checked . Plans and limits change, so confirm them on the vendor's site before you buy.
